Viyana University (Universität Wien)​

Founded in 1365, Vienna University is one of the world’s oldest and most esteemed universities. With 74,000 students from 130 countries, the university, with 8,600 staff, including 6,500 researchers, is one of the largest and leading universities in the German-speaking world. It also holds the distinction of being the first university established in the German-speaking world. Vienna University, with 15 Nobel Prize laureates among its alumni, has made significant contributions to Europe’s cultural, social, and political life, producing numerous scientists, philosophers, artists, and statesmen. Offering over 200 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, Vienna University boasts the richest program among Austrian universities. The university, known for its excellence in social sciences, does not offer programs only in engineering and agriculture. Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, is also an alum of Vienna University.
